From April 5–10, 2026, the End Forced Organ Harvesting (EFOH) Rotary Satellite Club returns to Topeka, Kansas—not just for a visit, but for a powerful homecoming rooted in purpose, courage, and hope.
Many still remember the tearful testimony shared by Crystal Chen during a breakout session hosted by the Rotary Action Group Against Slavery (RAGAS) at the 2022 RI Convention in Houston. That deeply moving testimony of a survivor of religious persecution in China triggered the forming of the End Forced Organ Harvesting (EFOH) Rotary Satellite Club of CAAHT in 2022 with a mission that is both urgent and deeply human: to shine a light on the hidden crisis of forced organ harvesting and to give voice to those who cannot speak for themselves.
What began as a moment that brought a breakout room to tears has grown into a satellite club with global presence, now spanning nine countries and inspiring Rotarians around the world to take action against the atrocity of forced organ harvesting.
Our efforts have sparked a ripple effect across the globe, shining a light on the urgent issue of forced organ harvesting from prisoners of conscience in China. In the New York Times bestseller Killed to Order launched on March 17, 2026, investigative journalist Jan Jekielek uncovers how this industry evolved and why awareness matters now more than ever. As a journalist, an author and a new Rotarian, Jan spotlights the work of Rotarians worldwide—including EFOH—recognizing our grassroots efforts to bring this humanitarian crisis into the light.
That same spirit comes to life in Topeka this month.
On April 6, the community is invited to a special screening of the award-winning documentary State Organs at the Topeka & Shawnee County Public Library. This is not just a film—it is an experience. Through the stories of families searching for their missing loved ones, it reveals a reality that is as heartbreaking as it is urgent. The evening will conclude with a live panel discussion, offering a space not only to learn, but to reflect and engage. To reserve your tickets, please visit https://StateOrgans-KS.eventbrite.com.
At the Kansas State Capitol, an educational exhibit will be on display throughout the week, inviting visitors to step closer to the truth behind forced organ harvesting, organ trafficking, and transplant tourism.
It is designed to inform—but more importantly, to awaken.
EFOH is also taking action within the medical community by launching a campaign to place the New York Times Best Seller book Killed to Order by investigative journalist Jan Jekielek into the hands of surgeons. This effort aims to spark critical conversations about ethics, responsibility, and the unseen consequences of transplant tourism. Your donation can help stop complicity, uphold human rights, and save lives.

This homecoming is more than a series of events—it is a call.
A call to learn. A call to care. And a call to act.
Rotary has always stood for service above self, for dignity, and for truth. This week in Topeka is a reminder that when we come together with purpose, we can confront even the most difficult realities—and begin to change them.
Join us. Be informed. Be inspired. Be part of the movement to end forced organ harvesting. To learn more about EFOH or want to become an associated member of EFOH to stay engaged and informed, please visit EFOH.org or
